Estudio preparado en Junio del 2004 para la Camara de Comercio Hispana del Area Metropolitana de Orlando, por Luis Gerardo Rivera, Egresado de la Maestría de Economía de Negocios del Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, en México.
Este estudio es presentado en español y ofrece una descripción general del mercado y la actividad productiva de Orlando, a través del análisis de variables demográficas de su población general y particularmente de su población de origen hispano, su nivel de ingreso y patrones de consumo; así como variables relativas a la industria de la región. Este documento no es un estudio de mercado, sino más bien, un primer análisis del mercado de Orlando, por lo que se ofrecen algunas referencias bibliográficas y vínculos de Internet de donde se puede extraer información adicional para desarrollar una investigación más profunda y detallada.

An exceptional array of speakers who participated in the Hispanic Summit conducted in March 2005, in Orlando-FL, discussed topics ranging from Philanthropy and Civic Participation, Media, Economic Opportunities Between Puerto Rico and Central Florida, Free Trade Agreements and the Business Community's Commitment to Diversity and Entrepreneurship.
During the 2005 Hispanic Summit, three pieces of Original Research Studies were presented to our community: The Economic Impact of Hispanics in Central Florida; Puerto Ricans in Orlando and Central Florida and the Regional Leadership Survey, a multi-county analysis highlighting the different voter attitudes and trends in the region, provided valuable information to our government, business and civic leaders to make plans for the future and promote cooperation, coordination and collaboration in the region.

Jorge Duany, Ph.D., Chair, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, University of Puerto Rico and Felix V. Matos Rodriguez, Ph.D., Director, Centro de Estudios Puertorriqueños (Center for Puerto Rican Studies). Their presentation is entitled "Puerto Ricans in Orlando and Central Florida" and is original, never-done-before research, presented for the first time at the Hispanic Summit.

David Hill, Hill Research Consultants and John Sowinski, Principal, Consensus Communications, unveiled the Regional Leadership Survey, a multi-county analysis highlighting different voter attitudes and trends in Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole and Volusia Counties.
